Privacy Policy
Effective date: February 21, 2026
Kid Capital ("we", "our", or "the app") is a family finance tracking application. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what data the app handles and how.
Data We Collect
Kid Capital does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on external servers. All information you enter into the app — including child profiles, transactions, balances, and settings — is stored locally on your device using Apple's on-device frameworks.
Data We Do Not Collect
We do not collect:
- Names, email addresses, or contact information
- Location data
- Usage analytics or tracking data
- Financial account numbers or bank information
- Advertising identifiers
- Any data from children
Third-Party Services
The app may fetch publicly available stock price data (S&P 500 / SPY) from an external service to display investment values. This request does not include any personal or identifying information.
Children's Privacy
Kid Capital is designed for use by families, including children. Because all data is stored locally on the device and we do not collect any personal information, the app complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar regulations. We do not knowingly collect any data from children.
Data Storage & Security
All app data is stored on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. Data is protected by your device's built-in security features, including device passcode and encryption. If you delete the app, all data is permanently removed.
Device Linking
Kid Capital allows parents to link a child's device using a temporary join code. This connection is established locally between devices. No account creation or cloud service is involved.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date.
